And the Quest is on for Research!

Good Morning Wildcats!
I hope you are all having great luck finding sources for your presentations. Remember that everyone should be doing their own research! The more information, the better!

Everybody has to turn in their OWN Works Cited and Formal Outline. Below I have included a link for a helpful hints sheet for creating outlines and works cited pages. Please e-mail me if you have any questions about either process!

I have also included below the group members and topics chosen by each group.

Have a great day Wildcats!

Works Cited Help:
Purdue OWL for MLA Help - This is a very helpful tool to look up how to do almost any kind of citation. They break down the punctuation, the information that needs to be included, and any rules or hints that could help you to do the citation correctly.
Citation Machine - This can be really useful, as long as you make sure to check your information before copying and pasting!

Welcome Back from Labor Day Weekend!

Hey Wildcats!
Hope you had a great LONG weekend! I know I did.
Here's a look at this short week and what will be happening in class.

Wednesday - We are starting a research project. In order to better understand Hiroshima and When the Emperor was Divine (our next book), we need to have a better understanding of the history and culture of the time period they are set in. In this case, WWII. You have been placed into 10 different groups. Each group has a different topic that you will pick in class (first come, first serve) and then create a presentation on. Everything that is required for this presentation is listed on the directions (located below).

Thursday - Everyone is meeting in lab 117 today. First, I will be giving you guys a little tutorial on MLA Citations and How I want your outlines to look. Then, we will be starting our research! Make sure that everyone in your group is looking up as much information as possible! It is easier to cut down a lot of information than to try to scramble to have enough.

Friday - We will again be in the lab (3rd, lab 1004). You will continue to have time to research and create your outlines. Outlines and Works Cited pages are due WEDNESDAY!

Below are all the documents you will need.

Have a great week!
